Hideaway Duffers ("Duffers", "we", "us") is a private golf club of approximately 150 members.
These terms govern your use of our website and our SMS text-message program. By joining the club and
using our services, you agree to these terms.
1. Membership
Membership is by invitation only. New members are enrolled in person by a board member; there is no public sign-up.
The website is for members. It contains no member information on any page a non-member can reach.
2. SMS text-message program
When a board member enrols you, we collect your mobile number and you agree to receive text messages from Duffers. Specifically:
What we send: a weekly message asking whether you are playing that week, and occasional messages from the board about club matters.
How often: recurring messages, roughly one per week, plus occasional board announcements.
Cost:Message and data rates may apply. Duffers does not charge for messages; your mobile carrier's normal rates apply.
Opt out at any time: reply STOP to any message and you will receive no further texts.
Help: reply HELP, or contact us at the address below.
Consent: your consent is collected in person at enrolment, with you present and agreeing to join. We do not use web forms or purchased lists.
Message delivery is carried out by our messaging provider and your mobile carrier. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
3. Acceptable use
Use the site only for club purposes. Do not share your sign-in link with anyone.
Member information you can see as a signed-in member (names, contact details a member chooses to show) is for club use only and must not be redistributed.
4. Privacy
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
5. Changes
We may update these terms. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the club's services means you accept the current terms.
